Scoring
The scoring of the PTE test is done between 0 and 90, for all individual modules (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking) as well as overall. Apart from these main modules, the PTE exam results also depict scores in Enabling Skills between 0 and 90, which are Grammar, Oral Fluency, Pronunciation, Spelling, Vocabulary, and Written Discourse. Some institutions, on occasion, ask for certain score thresholds on this sub-criteria as well.
Scoring
The scoring of the IELTS test is done in the range of 0 to 9 bands. The higher the better. You are given such a score in each module (mentioned below) and an Overall score which is the average of your scores in the individual modules.
The exam format for PTE is similar to, but not the same as, the IELTS exam. The test has four communication modules: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. However, while the Listening and Reading modules are conducted separately, the Speaking and Writing modules are clubbed together and conducted together. The total test duration is 3 hours. Since this is a computer test, all question types are timed and need to be completed before the timer expires.
The standard PTE Academic exam fee is Rs 13,300. In case the candidate is booking his PTE exam within 48 hours of the PTE test date, the candidate would be required to pay the PTE Late Booking Fee of Rs. 13,965.
Your test results are valid up to 2 years from the date of the test.
