Good news for temporary workers as Quebec adds 65 jobs which will now be an advantage to foreign workers across a wider range of occupations. These occupations fall under the Level C of the National Occupation Classification list. This list consists of entry level positions that require on the job experience training or high school diploma. As we all are aware of the fact that LMIA list is usually updated once every year, the occupations on the list are for highly skilled positions.
As there are acute labour market shortages, the government of Canada and Quebec have signed an agreement which allows a many occupations to benefit from the Facilitated LMIA process under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. This step will make it easier for residents in Quebec to appoint temporary foreign workers.
Quebec holds a special positions to as it gives chance to migrate Canada. To accomplish its immigration program, Quebec is given more autonomy than other place. This step has two ways benefits. The Facilitated process is similar to a regular LMIA application. Though there are many changes in the process for Quebec employers. As per the Facilitated LMIA application, it does not require employers to provide proof. On the contrary employers may only submit LMIA applications for occupations that they require. The only condition is that the applications for Facilitated LMIAs must be approved by federal and provincial authorities.
